Engaging the buying committee, not just one contact
B2B decisions involve several stakeholders. Here is how to think about reaching them thoughtfully.
In most B2B technology purchases, no single person decides alone. Economic buyers, technical evaluators, end users and risk reviewers each bring different questions. Outreach that addresses only one of them often stalls.
Map roles before writing messages
For each target account, identify which functions are likely to be involved and what each one cares about. A finance leader and an engineering lead will respond to very different arguments.
Coordinate, do not carpet-bomb
Contacting several people at one company should feel coordinated and considered, not like a blast. Sequence messages thoughtfully and keep the narrative consistent across stakeholders.
Hand over cleanly
When a conversation turns into a meeting, the context gathered so far should reach the salesperson who takes it forward. A clean handover respects the buyer's time.
